This last weekend one of our agents got married. In watching them plan, organize, and put together a wedding, I forget how much effort goes into the big event.
Weddings are a HUGE investment. Sadly, you can’t always count on your vendors to hold up their end of your agreement. This is why there is Oklahoma Wedding Insurance.
Not many people know about Wedding Insurance in OK. It’s becoming a required coverage for some wedding vendors. There are two parts to the insurance:
• Wedding Event Cancellation / Postponement Plus Insurance – protects your financial investment in your wedding; covers cancellation / postponement, lost deposits, and more
If you’re worried about recovering your deposits if a vendor goes bankrupt or doesn’t deliver as promised
If you’re concerned that extreme weather or an unexpected illness or injury could force you to postpone
If the bride or groom is in the military and approved leave could be cancelled
• Wedding Liability Insurance – protects you against financial liability arising from your wedding; required by many venues
If your venue requires you to obtain your own liability insurance
If you’re worried about legal liability for alcohol-related accidents
If you’re concerned about lawsuits for property damage or bodily injury
For all that is put into a wedding, getting the insurance is just smart. It’s relatively cheap and pretty easy to start. Better safe than sorry!
