You say tomato and I say nothing beats the taste of fresh home grown fruits and vegetables. With the economy teetering on the brink of recession, prices at the grocery store soaring, record temperatures, and the lack of rain frying your home garden there’s an alternative to store bought produce available right here in Claremore.
Every Wednesday and Saturday starting at 7 a.m. local farmers bring their fresh, home grown organic produce to the Expo Center to peddle their wares.
The prices are more often than not lower than the grocery store and your hard earned money helps support our local farmers. Even better than that, those hard earned dollars stay right here in Claremore and circulate through our local economy.
There are currently 23 different local vendors that participate selling everything from fruits, vegetables, candles, soaps, jewelry, and flower pots. More information can be found on Facebook at Claremore Farmers Market.
Come on out and see what tasty treats and crafty items Claremore farmers and artisans have available for purchase. It’s a great way to spend a Saturday morning with the family.
